Module 2: election or development of site-specific toxicity reference values

Under the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP), ecological risk assessments (ERAs) are commonly used to manage federal contaminated sites. FCSAP has developed guidance for ERAs in addition to the ones from the Canadian Council of Minister’s of the Environment. This document is a technical guidance module on toxicity reference values (TRVs). This module provides general guidance on using published TRVs and on developing site-specific TRVs as site-specific benchmarks for ERAs on federal contaminated sites.
