Environmental emergencies: preparedness
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) contributes to the development of contingency plans that describe roles, decision-making and communication processes, expertise and capacity so that the response to an environmental emergency is quick and effective. ECCC also participates in exercises that test these plans to strengthen their effectiveness and enable continuous improvement.
