Output-Based Pricing System Proceeds Fund: Decarbonization Incentive Program
The Decarbonization Incentive Program (DIP) is a merit-based program. It is funded by proceeds collected from the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS). DIP’s objectives are to encourage long-term decarbonization of Canada’s industrial sectors. It also supports Canada’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goals.
The program funds single or multi-year projects. The goal of these projects is to advance the use of existing and/or proven low-carbon technologies and processes.
These projects will further reduce GHG emissions within the eligible provinces. These are Saskatchewan Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
