Draft Export and Import of Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Material Regulations
Please find below, for information purposes only, a revised draft of the proposed Export and Import of Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Material Regulations, in addition to responses to public comments. The proposed Regulations were pre-published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on March 20, 2004 for a 60-day comment period required under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. The comment period ended on May 19, 2004. Comments received during that period were considered in the preparation of this revised draft. Please note that this is not intended as an additional comment period, and the information contained in this document is still draft pending approval. It is anticipated that the proposed Regulations will be published in Part II of the Canada Gazette in mid-2005 once final approval is received.
