Sithe is proposing to build, own and operate an 800MW natural gas fuelled, combined cycle power generating station and associated infrastructure called Goreway Station on Goreway Road in Brampton. The station will feature low NOx burners and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to further reduce NOx emissions.

HAPS emissions are calculated from US. EPA AP-42 emission factors for natural gas fired combustion turbines at high loads (>80%), with the exception of formaldehyde which is based on limited manufacturer’s data. All values were determined based on 8,400 hours per year of operation with full auxiliary duct firing and an average annual temperature of 7 degrees Celsius for a GE 3x1 configuration.
