The proposed facility will include gas-fired turbine generators and one steam turbine. Each of the gas turbines will be connected to a waste heat recovery system. In addition, the facility will include two induced draft counterflow cooling towers, and an emergency generator. The facility will produce approximately 117 MW of electricity as well as high pressure steam for Toronto Pearson International Airport, with excess electrical power made available to the provincial power grid.
