Notice of suspension of federal student financial assistance

The Government of Canada has suspended the provision of new financial assistance (Canada Student Grants and Loans) to all students attending Atlantic Business College under s. 6.4 of the Canada Student Financial Assistance Act for periods of studies that start August 1, 2026 and after. After considering submissions from the institution as well as students, the Minister has determined there are compelling reasons to believe the provision of further financial assistance would expose Canada and/or students to significant financial risk.

Further Canada Student Loan (CSL) and Canada Student Grant (CSG) funding to attend classes at this institution will no longer be provided for periods of studies that start August 1, 2026 and after. Funding previously awarded will not be affected unless there is clear evidence that it was obtained fraudulently.

Funding to attend classes at other, eligible institutions is not affected.

This Notice is designed to provide students with notice of suspension. The Notice must not be construed to imply wrongdoing or misconduct on the part of the institution.
