Introducing the Workforce Retention and Retraining Program
The Workforce Retention and Retraining Program combines the Work-Sharing Program and the Retraining Grant (formerly the Worker Retention Grant) to help employers retain and retrain workers.
Special measures are extended to March 31, 2028, with expanded eligibility and program flexibilities. For more information visit Canada Strong: Government support programs for workers and businesses.

- how to register or obtain support for applying online via the Grants and Contributions Online Services online platform

- how to register or obtain support for Data Gateway, or
- how to complete your Utilization Report (UR)
Regional Work-Sharing Units
Employers making a request to amend their Workforce Retention and Retraining Program – Work-Sharing agreement submit their completed forms by email to their respective regional Work-Sharing Unit:

Service Canada has created an inquiry unit for employers that are seeking general information related to the Workforce Retention and Retraining Program - Work-Sharing.
