Sectoral Workforce Development Program – Sectoral Workforce Innovation Fund

This funding opportunity aims to support targeted, real-time strategic investments that enable and mobilize workforce solutions to advance government missions and growth strategies across Canada. It will fund projects that support the program objectives by implementing targeted solutions to pressing national and regional workforce needs. Organizations are encouraged to develop partnerships with industry stakeholders, employers, and workers to support project outputs and outcomes that are sustainable and meet the needs of the sector they are targeting.

Application period:

Continuous intake starting August 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), until funds are exhausted.

Funding amount:

Up to $ 10,000,000 for a project that is up to 36 months.

Who can apply:

Not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, municipal governments, Indigenous organizations, training institutions, provincial and territorial governments.
