New Horizons for Seniors Program - Community-based projects
The New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) community-based stream is a federal grant. It supports projects that are designed by seniors and for seniors in their communities. This program funds projects that empower seniors in their communities through increased social inclusion.
- Application period:
- From June 2, 2026 to July 14, 2026 at 3:00 pm, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) Closed
- Funding amount:
- Up to $50,000 for a project that is up to 1 year in duration
- Who can apply:
- Not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous organizations, municipal governments

Information sessions are delivered by ESDC to give an overview of:
- the application process
- technical support on how to use the online system
