Create a Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS) account

Creating an account is a one-time action. The next time you visit, all you have to do is sign in.

To create your account, you will need:

• a GCKey username and password, or your online banking ID and password with Interac® Sign-in Partner
• to verify your identity through Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) My Account or at a Service Canada Centre
• your organization's CRA Business Number, legal name and address

Choose an option to start your registration

Option 1: GCKey username and password: Option 1 of 2

Register with a GCKey username and password

Use your username and password issued by the Government of Canada or create a GCKey.

How to create a GCKey username and password

1. Select Register with a GCKey username and password
2. Select Sign up on the Welcome to GCKey page to create a GCKey username and password
3. Follow the prompts to:
   • set up your security questions and answers
   • enter your recovery email address

If you already have a GCKey username and password:

1. Select Register with a GCKey username and password
2. Enter your GCKey username and password to sign in

About GCKey

GCKey is not an account.

You still have to create a GCOS secure account if you already have a GCKey username and password.

We don't share your account information with any Sign-In Partner bank or credit union. They also don't share your banking information with us.

Apply for funding using GCOS

Most organizations can apply for funding opportunities as soon as they create a GCOS profile. To access all GCOS features, you will need to complete the registration process to activate your account.

You can subscribe to receive email notifications of new funding opportunities available at Employment and Social Development Canada.
