Limit 1:	Maximum number of weeks of regular benefits payable	References

Limit 2:	Maximum period during which regular benefits may be paid	References
2.1	During the benefit period, which may not exceed 52 weeks in length unless extended for reasons below;	EIA 10(2)
2.2	during the benefit period extended by the number of weeks (up to a possible maximum of 52 additional weeks) in respect of which the person was not entitled to benefit by reason of being: confined in a jail; in receipt of earnings paid by reason of the complete severance of the relationship with the former employer; in receipt of workers' compensation payments for an injury; in receipt of compensation for the withdrawal of services. The extension(s) may not result in a benefit period greater than 104 weeks.	EIA 10(10) EIA 10(14)
2.3	during the benefit period extended by the number of weeks (up to a maximum possible of 52 additional weeks) in respect of which the person was employed in a work sharing employment;	EIA 10(2) EIA 24(1) EIR 45
N.B.	Benefits paid to a person participating in a job creation partnership, attending a training course to which he or she has been referred by the authority designated by ESDC, or employed under an ESDC approved self-employment agreement reduce the number of weeks of regular benefits payable.
