Consultation on the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal

The Government of Canada is looking to reshape the EI appeal process by making it more responsive to the needs of Canadians.
Through this consultation, which is now closed, we reviewed certain aspects of the EI appeal process and asked about preferences on how an EI appeal hearing takes place. Participants shared their views on the design of a new process for appealing an EI benefits’ decision.
Who was the focus of this consultation
We wanted to hear from:
- persons who have requested EI benefits
- persons who have appealed a decision on an EI benefits claim
- all Canadians having an interest in decisions regarding EI benefits
