3004-1 Annex A - Categories of IT Goods and Services within the CJCR Gp

Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group Order (CJCR Gp O)

1. The categories of IT goods and services as follows:

1. Category A: IT goods and services are procured^{Footnote 1}, provided, supported, and funded by the CJCR Gp IT SMC. Items are usually part of the approved entitlements and they are planned for life-cycling within the IT SMC Business Plan.
2. Category B: IT goods and services are procured and supported by the CJCR Gp IT SMC. Items in this category are considered IT goods and services and require oversight and support from the IT SMC. They are considered non-standard and are not widely distributed nor part of the approved entitlements for which the SMC is normally funded. These acquisitions may require funding and additional validation. If required, funding may be obtained from RCSUs, HQ sections, or IT SMC. Items are not baselined for life-cycling in the IT SMC Business Plan.
3. Category C: IT goods and services are not procured, provided or supported by the CJCR Gp IT SMC, but technical guidance/permission shall be obtained from the CJCR Gp IT SMC for any device or software that will be used on – or connected to – DND assets or networks.

2. Goods and services listed as Category B or C may – if a need is established – become Category A and added to the IT SMC Business Plan.

3. With the exception of Category C, all acquisitions shall normally be coordinated through Regional/HQ J6 who will then work with the CJCR Gp IT SMC to implement the need.
