  1. This CANCDTGEN promulgates the availability of the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) cap badge through the Logistik Unicorp web-based portal, Clothing Online (Ref B), and provides ordering and transition direction to all personnel supporting the Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group (CJCR Gp).
  2. Effective immediately, CIC cap badges are available for order through Clothing Online (Ref B). This initiative supports recognition and professional identity of CIC officers across the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Canadian Army (CA), and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) environments.
  3. Availability and use of the CIC cap badge are dependent upon the respective Distinctive Environment Uniform (DEU), and are outlined as follows:
    1. RCN (DEU Navy) – Two sizes are available for use, small for the beret and large for the service cap;
    2. CA (DEU Army) – One size is available for use on the beret; and
    3. RCAF (DEU Air Force) – One size is available for use on the beret and the wedge.
  4. Members will order their new CIC cap badge at the earliest opportunity via Clothing Online (Ref B) using their Clothing Online points allocation. Newly enrolled members will be issued their cap badge in accordance with CAF Dress Instructions (Ref A) as part of their initial allocation.
  5. All other patterns or versions of CIC cap badges shall be phased out starting 1 April 2026. Units will plan local transition and disposal IAW supply policy and CAF Dress Instructions (Ref A).
  6. Wear of the CIC cap badge is to conform to the CAF Dress Instructions (Ref A). Questions on placement and wear is to be directed to applicable Unit Chief Warrant Officer.
