  1. This CANCDTGEN supersedes reference A and provides updated direction on the use of Logistik Unicorp (LU) points for the remainder of the 2024/2025 training year.
  2. The cadet uniform program for the Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group (CJCR Gp) is funded and managed by Assistant Deputy Minister Materiel (ADM(Mat)) through Director of Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM). As part of a mid-year funding review within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), CJCR Gp has received an in-year funding opportunity of additional LU points from DSSPM.
  3. The Commander CJCR Gp has directed that, in addition to the provision of Field Training Uniforms/Sea Training Uniforms (FTU/STU), corps/squadrons are to resume the issuing of Cadet Service Dress uniforms to all cadets.
  4. The following materiel management best practices must continue to be adhered to:
    1. all uniform pieces, with the exception of next to skin items as defined in reference B, must be recycled and re-issued unless they are more than 50% faded or the item is deemed unacceptable for wear due to other factors such as tearing or staining;
    2. all uniform pieces must be recovered from a cadet that has been struck off strength from a corps/squadron;
    3. corps/squadrons should continue to issue items that are held within their uniform stores prior to ordering new items from LU; and
    4. corps/squadrons must maximize their efforts within their Areas and Zones to share surplus uniform items.
  5. Corps/squadrons must fully expend their remaining LU points allocation prior to 15 March 2025.
  6. Specific information regarding the management of the LU points will be communicated by the RCSU based on the needs of individual corps/squadrons and Areas. Questions can be directed to your Area Office or the CJCR Gp HQ J4 at CJR-J4HQ-J4QG@forces.gc.ca.
