Future communications
The RE program is now wrapping up its work, completing the final engagements and preparing the final report. As part of this transition, our regular communications will soon come to an end. To close out, we will send two final communication updates to all class members who have opted in to receive updates.
These final communications will introduce the Storytelling project (described below) and share the Final Report, marking the conclusion of the program.
If you are not interested in receiving future communications, you can opt out by reaching out to RE-DR@forces.gc.ca or by phone at 1-833-998-2048.
SMSRC new name announcement
On April 24, 2026, the SMSRC has announced its new name: the Defence Community Support and Resource Centre (DCSRC). This change reflects its expanded mandate to support members of the Defence Community affected by racism, while maintaining its existing services for those affected by sexual misconduct.
The DCSRC will maintain its strong foundation and supports for those affected by sexual misconduct, whose voices, trust and experiences have shaped the foundation of our services and remain central to our work.
Defence Representatives Alumni Community
With the Defence representative Cohorts completed, the Defence representative alumni community continues to share and apply the insights and learnings from engagements with class members. The Defence representative alumni community also continues to support policy and training initiatives by sharing insights from class member engagements to help guide culture change efforts.
RE storytelling web project
The RE storytelling web project will share the stories and experiences of people who took part in the program. Through written stories, audio, and videos, participants will tell the story of how RE was created, how it evolved, and what it meant to the people involved. The project aims to recognize the courage and insight class members brought to the process.
If you would like to contribute to the project by sharing a written testimonial, there is still time to complete the Consent Form for Testimonials. Sharing a testimonial is always your choice. You decide whether to participate and what you would like to share.
