Complete the 2025 Staffing and Non-Partisanship Survey

All Department of National Defence (DND) public service employees, as well as public service and military managers of public service employees, are invited to fill out the 2025 Staffing and Non-Partisanship Survey. This is an opportunity to influence positive change regarding decisions that improve the staffing system and enhance the non-partisan nature of the federal public service.
About the survey
- It runs from June 5 to July 31, 2025.
Note: You may have received the survey earlier as part of the Public Service Commission of Canada’s (PSC) soft launch. - It takes about 20 minutes to complete.
- It was sent to both your DWAN email address and your D365 email address (i.e., your DWAN email address with “ecn” after the @symbol).
- It came from Advanis, a Canadian market and social research firm, which will be administering the survey on behalf of the PSC.
- Your responses are confidential.

Purpose of the survey
The survey will help DND and PSC:
- understand employees’ views on the public service staffing system
- gauge employees’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities related to political activities
- identify areas for improvement in staffing practices and adherence to non-partisanship
