The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) success stems from its dedicated and talented employees. As we reflect on our achievements this past year, let’s not forget to honor the unparalleled DND employees and CAF members who make it all possible. The Celebrating Excellence Awards (CEA) (accessible only on the National Defence network), the highest form of recognition within DND, is now accepting nominations!
Now it is your chance to recognize colleagues, mentors, or peers who have made outstanding contributions to the Defence Team. Submit a nomination by completing and submitting the nomination form to your L1 Awards and Recognition Coordinator (accessible only on the National Defence network) who can inform you of the exact deadline and guide you through the nomination process.
All DND /CAF employees and personnel are eligible to be nominated and can nominate individuals and/or teams. This year, the award categories are:
- DM Award of Distinction
- DM John Forster Collaboration Award
- DM/CDS Organizational Culture Award
- DM/CDS Excellence in Defence Awards
- Rising Star Award
- Leadership Excellence Award
- Employment Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Unsung Hero Award
- DM/CDS Modernization and Transformation Award
