This may seem like common knowledge, but we quickly forget that theft in the workplace happens more than you think. We need to remember that stolen and/or compromised information has potential to do real damage to you as well as the Department of National defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Read more tips below.

- Theft in the workplace happens more than you think. Stolen and/or compromised information has potential to do real damage to Canada, the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
- Don’t leave valuables on your desk!
- Such as : cash, your phone or ID pass.
- Don’t take it home!
- Equipment (keyboards - mics - ports) and furniture have to remain in the office, especially for shared spaces.
- Lock your screen when you leave!
- Also, lock your laptop to your docking station.
- Insider threat
- Be aware who is around! Are they allowed to be in the area?

- Don’t leave valuables on your desk! Cash, phone, ID, pass, etc.
