Dear Defence Team members,

I’m inviting you to join me and the Defence Team Minds Matter HQ - NCR for the 2022 LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart™ Run for Women.

We just celebrated Mental Health Week at the beginning of May, highlighting the importance of using empathy when supporting one another. We see the clear impacts the past two years have had on both our individual and collective mental wellness. Listening, regrouping and getting real about mental health will help us achieve our vision of a safe and inclusive workplace for all.

Run for Women is a national event taking place in 18 Canadian cities that supports 18 unique women's mental health initiatives. The Ottawa event supports women’s mental health initiatives at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre and aims to encourage people to talk about mental wellness. This year, the race will be held in a hybrid format, allowing you to participate virtually or in-person at the LeBreton Flats on June 5, 2022. I will be doing the 5K in-person walk myself; so come walk with, or run past me!
