Gender-Based Analysis Plus Awareness Week Event: GBA Plus in Action in the Defence Team

In celebration of Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) Awareness Week, Defence Team members are invited to join virtually a live panel discussion on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, hosted by the Directorate for Gender Equality and Intersectional Analysis (DGEIA).
GBA Plus Awareness Week, from May 9 to 13, 2022, is a chance to learn more about the GBA Plus approach, and how this analytical process is used to explore the changing realities and inequalities of diverse groups of people to create effective policies, programs and services.
This year will mark the 10th year of the GBA Plus Awareness Week, under the theme “GBA Plus in Action”, which highlights how the systematic application of GBA Plus can lead to more responsive and inclusive policies, programs and initiatives.
This virtual event, moderated by DGEIA’s Executive Director, Lisa Vandehei, will comprise of a live panel discussion showcasing different L1s who have made strides this year in integrating GBA Plus into their work, followed by a live Q&A session. Defence Team members are invited to send their questions in the official language of their choice before or during the event via Slido, with the participant code # GBAplus2022.
