Seconded to DND Employees: Submit your leave before 31 March 2022!

Beginning April 2022, leave cash-outs will be issued to gradually reduce employees’ excess vacation and compensatory leave balances that may have accumulated since 2016.

If you are an employee from another Government department seconded with the Department of National Defence (DND), please note that your leave balances are maintained by your substantive Department and not by National Defence. 

As a seconded to National Defence employee, please confirm (accessible only on the National Defence network) if the leave cash-out applies to you. If it does, you must ensure:

• your DND manager has received, approved and submitted all leave requests through Human Resources Services and Support (HRSS) (accessible only on the National Defence network) before end of day, 31 March 2022.  
• you have submitted your leave to your home organization.
