Canada Life will be the new PSHCP administrator

As of July 1, 2023, Canada Life will become the new administrator of the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP). To learn more, visit the new web page for frequently asked questions about what to expect with a new PSHCP administrator. For now, remember that:

  • Until June 30, 2023, you are to continue to send all claims to Sun Life
  • You can prepare now for the change by making sure all your contact information is up to date with Sun Life

A new PSHCP administrator does not affect your disability or dental benefits.

Pension

When should you expect your monthly pension payments in retirement?

The Pension Centre normally issues your first pension payment by direct deposit within 45 calendar days after the date of retirement. To avoid delays, you and the Pay Centre or your departmental compensation services must submit the required information before your retirement. Following your first payment, the benefits follow a pension calendar where it is directly deposited in your bank account. Deposits are made on the second last business day of the month.

Public Service Pay

2021 tax slips will be available by the end of February 2022

You will be able to access your tax slips online via Phoenix Self-Service or MyGCPay through the Compensation Web Applications (CWA) (accessible only on the Government of Canada network). Learn when your tax slips will be issued for your department.

If your tax slip is not available online by March 10, 2022, you can contact the Client Contact Centre at 1-855-686-4729.
