Change in Personal Circumstances Reporting

The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are committed to maintaining a culture of security and must also remain vigilant and conscious of risks posed by multiple threat vectors such as radicalization, violent extremism, ideological dissonance, criminal activities and foreign intelligence services operations.

To help maintain this security culture, individuals are responsible to report information relating to a change in personal circumstances that may affect their ability to maintain their reliability status or security clearance. Commanding Officers, Defence Team supervisors and managers will be responsible for identifying changes in behaviours or circumstances of individuals under their comment or supervision that may raise doubt concerning their reliability or loyalty.
