The Office of Disability Management expands area of services

The Office of Disability Management (ODM) (accessible only on the National Defence network) is expanding its services to support more of the Defence Team. The ODM plays a key role in ensuring that all Public Service employees have access to a safe and healthy work environment. They provide impartial, collaborative and inclusive services to support employees and their supervisor/manager dealing with disability-related matters due to illness, impairment and injury.
Disability Management Advisors (DMAs) provide support during:
- work and non-work related injury, illness or impairment
- recovery
- return to work
- medical accommodation
- medical retirement
Currently, the ODM provides case management services in the following locations:
- NCR (ADM(FIN), ADM (HR Civ), ADM(IE), ADM (IM), ADM (PA), ADM (Pol), ADM (RS), CA, CMJ, CMP, Corp Sec, CFLA, JAG, Ombudsman, RCAF, SJS)
- Comox, BC
- Halifax, NS
- Montreal, Val Cartier and Bagotville, QC
- Southern Vancouver Island, BC
Several new offices will soon be available to provide ODM services to clients in these additional regions:
- NCR (Three additional L1s: CFHA, RCN, VCDS)
- Greenwood, NS - April/May 2021
- MB and SK – April/May 2021
- NB - April 2021
- Northern, AB –May 2021
- Injury on Duty Program nationally May 2021
