New Features coming soon to the HRSS portal

As part of ADM(HR-Civ)’s efforts to continuously improve services, new features are being added to the Human Resource Services and Support (HRSS) (Accessible only on the National Defence network) portal, such as financial E-Approvals, which have been endorsed by the Assistant Deputy Minister (Finance)/Chief Financial Officer (ADM(FIN)/CFO).
Coming soon to the HRSS portal:
- ‘View All Cases’ button: easy access to view and track HRSS cases
- Financial E-Approvals: easy electronic submission of timekeeper cases (timesheets, extra duty pay, leave without pay 5 days or less and paid leave) for Section 34 certification as per the Financial Administration Act (FAA) by a Timekeeper with financial delegated authority.
- Ex- Military Leave Credits: to be submitted through the Pay Action Request
**Please note – the HRSS will be unavailable for several hours beginning February 22, 2021 at 15:00EST for system upgrades.
Additionally, the DND Compensation team is expanding their client services to better support managers. Civilian managers can now submit Section 34 certified pay-related transactions (timesheets, overtime, leave without pay, schedule, etc.) through HRSS utilizing the financial E-approval process or by hard copy for departmental Timekeepers to process in Phoenix.
The HRSS (Accessible only on the National Defence network) portal makes it simpler for civilian employees and managers of civilian employees to submit and monitor their Compensation-related requests. With the use of a PKI card, employees can submit requests for multiple pay services and easily track their progress all in one place.
