Message from Deputy Minister Jody Thomas: Call-to-action on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion

Today, the Clerk of the Privy Council sent all Deputy Heads a call-to-action on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion in the Federal Public Service. I’m sharing the Clerk’s message and the call-to-action itself.

As you know, we’re in the early stages of important and long-term efforts across our Defence Team to build a respectful, welcoming, inclusive organization where all those with talent, enthusiasm and a desire to serve Canada have opportunities to succeed.

I’m encouraged to see the Clerk’s words show that our Defence Team’s early actions are strongly rooted in the commitments of the entire federal public service to reflect the fabric of the country we all serve. 

We have a long way to go, and with all of your help, we will get there.
