Invitations to participate in the Canadian Armed Forces Harassment and Discrimination Survey, along with the survey link, will be emailed to select Canadian Armed Forces respondents on their DWAN and O365 accounts.

Let us know your views on harassment, microaggression, discrimination and hateful conduct in the Canadian Armed Forces by participating in the Canadian Armed Forces Harassment and Discrimination Survey. Your views are important, whether or not you have experienced or observed these behaviours.

Invitations to participate in the Canadian Armed Forces Harassment and Discrimination Survey, along with the survey link, will be emailed to select Canadian Armed Forces respondents on their DWAN and O365 accounts. Potential participants have been randomly selected from the list of all Canadian Armed Forces members; as a result, only select Regular Force and Reserve Force members will be invited to participate in the survey. The survey will be launched in October 2020, with surveys going out to Regular Force members mid-month and to Reserve Force members later in the month. The survey will be live until December 2020.

The objective of the survey is to provide a snapshot of how often harassment, microaggression, discrimination and hateful conduct occurred in the Canadian Armed Forces over the past year. In addition, this year’s survey will determine whether these behaviours have changed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The survey is anonymous and will take between 15 to 30 minutes to complete, depending on your personal experiences. The survey can be done on any computer or mobile device.  Participation is completely voluntary and you will not be required to respond to any question that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Results of this survey will be important; they will be used by senior leaders, policy-makers, and other stakeholders (e.g., Defence Advisory Groups and the Defence Team Pride Network) to assess relevant policies, procedures, and programs.

Your participation is valuable in order to deliver an accurate picture of the climate within the Canadian Armed Forces, whether or not you have experienced or observed harassment, microaggression, discrimination and hateful conduct in the past year.
