Managers: Approving Leave for Casual Employees

Casual employees are not entitled to leave with pay. The only exception is bereavement leave for a family member as defined in the relevant collective agreement. Part 4 of the Appendix of Treasury’s Board’s Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment outlines the rules on leave for casual employees.

However, casual employees are entitled to leave without pay, 5 days or less (LWOP < 5 days). LWOP < 5 days is to be submitted and approved through the following systems:
