Civilian Employees: British Columbia Medical Services Plan

Since December 1, 2019, the Phoenix pay system has no longer been collecting British Columbia Medical Services Plan deductions. However, coverage under this benefit plan has continued for members.

Employees will have seen their last deduction for the British Columbia Medical Services Plan on their November 27, 2019, pay stub. Any types of adjustment requests (debts or refunds) submitted before Decemberr 31, 2019, should have been validated and processed in springr 2020.

If you are a new applicant to the British Columbia Medical Services Plan or you need to change your coverage information (i.e. add or remove a dependent, update name or address, etc.), contact Health Insurance British Columbia (HIBC).
