Hi everyone,
My name is Stefanie Beck, and I am honoured to address you today as your new Deputy Minister and also to have the opportunity to wish you all a happy National Public Service Week!
This week, it is important to take the time to recognize and celebrate the dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions of each one of you, here at National Defence.
Whether it’s through strategic planning, procuring new military equipment, research and development, developing next generation technology, providing critical human resources or financial services, running our facilities, developing new information technology systems, you have shown that by working together, we are a more powerful and successful organization.
Our Defence Team is unique in government. Every day, civilian members of the Team are fully engaged and work with their military colleagues toward common goals and joint objectives.
We all contribute to the success of our country. What we do is of tremendous importance and that is nowhere more evident than at National Defence.
It is a privilege to join this exceptional team and to work alongside such dedicated and talented individuals.
I’m excited to embark on this new journey with such a talented and dedicated team.
As we celebrate this week, let’s take a moment to reflect on our shared values and the collective impact of our work.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing all the great achievements we are capable of over the course of the next year.
