Hello everyone. My name is Christiana Cavazzoni, Associate ADM of ADM(IM), and proud National Public Service Week Champion.
National Public Service Week gives us an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of you – the committed, professional, and hard-working public service employees across National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces.
Your contributions at Defence are impressive. Every day, you embody the National Public Service Week theme of “Proudly Serving Canadians”.
Whether you work side-by-side with our military colleagues to enable the work of the Canadian Armed Forces, provide support to Defence Team members and their families, develop new and exciting technology, or manage large-scale procurement projects, your efforts make me proud to be a public servant. The impact we make on Canada is real, and we should be proud of the great work we do.
One area that I am personally passionate about is the recruitment of young professionals and women, particularly in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. There is a lot more work to be done here, but I’m excited to see more opportunities for these people.
As we continue to work through the personal and professional challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, you have risen to the occasion. You have been instrumental in continuing to deliver key programs and services to Canadians, despite the challenging circumstances, and I thank you for your work.
