I am a pilot and I am afraid of heights.
Hi, I am Col Dave Moar, the commander of 4 Wing Cold Lake. We are here today at 10 Field Technical Training Squadron and I am here to do the 60 Seconds Challenge.
"If you could have any superpower, what would it be?"
I already know how to fly, so invisibility.
"What is the best part of commanding 4 Wing?"
I get to come to work every day with 2000 outstanding people and I lead the biggest fighter base in Canada in an important operational mission.
"What makes a good leader?"
Courage and empathy.
"What does serving Canada mean to you?"
Canada is the greatest country in the world. I have dedicated my life to serving Canada and protecting our values. That is what it means to me.
"What does diversity mean to you?"
There is power in individuality and difference, and if we can embrace that, we will better and stronger and more resilient going forward.
"What is something that will always be in fashion?"
Respect and courtesy.
"If you were not in your current profession, what would you want to do?"
I would like to be a park ranger for Parks Canada.
