CAF members and aspiring members can now tailor a search for the most current information on military pay, allowances, leave, family support, healthcare, career options, education support, professional development, relocation, transition, pensions, and other benefits, specific to their personal situations and needs. CMP in collaboration with the DND/CAF Ombudsman has improved accessing information on what is available to members through a newly-enhanced, one-stop portal.
The CAF Offer and the Military Benefits Browser will be updated regularly to ensure the most up-to-date open source information is available. What's new?
As part of our efforts to help military members and families manage financial challenges of military service, Director General Compensation and Benefits has partnered with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) to create 1,000 spots for CAF members and their families in a series of workshops being held in Feb. These workshops offer tools, tricks, and tips, on budgeting, managing credit, and of course savings. The training will be free, online, with a number of different dates and times being available. Though a bit short notice with registration closing on Jan 12th, There will be more training and learning opportunities developed in the new year, but given that holidays can be stressful, we wanted to put something in place to help in the shorter term.
