Have you ever had a desire to explore beneath the surface of the water in a trained and safe manner? Now’s your chance! We are excited to offer NDWCC fundraising scuba sessions in Yellowknife, NT, taught in-person by a certified Scuba instructor and the Scuba Club president.

• Donations to this event will be open from today’s date until December 5th, 2025. Please note that due to the nature of the event, we do have a limited amount of 8 participants, maximum, for each session/course. Medical waivers will have to be signed as well. First come first serve bases for interest to participate.

• The sessions will be scheduled with the interested participants. The sessions will occur in the Yellowknife Pool from 8-10pm, noted in the session dates below.

  Full Course
  Tuesday, January 6th,  and Wednesday January 7th - CCG Course Group 1 (4 people)
  Tuesday January 13th, and Wednesday January 14th – CCG Course Group 2 (4 people)
  Try out
  Tuesday January 20th Scuba Try out 1 (4 people)
  Wednesday January 21st Scuba Try out 2 (4 people)
• How will this work?
  • Anyone who donates a new $100.00 to the event can get a one night “Try out” session in the community pool.
  • Anyone who donates a new $300 can get the full pool course (This is a value of $450 to RCMP/CAF members and $650 to non-GOC employees).

IMPORTANT:  Please send a copy of your donation to christina.girard@dfo-mpo-gc.ca and put ‘Full Course” for the full pool course, or “Scuba Try out” for the intro to scuba sessions, in the subject line. We will use this to track the donations to this event and fill the list of participants accordingly.
