This rate is determined quarterly using the simple average of three-month Treasury bills for the first month of the preceding quarter rounded up to the next highest whole percentage point (if not already a whole number). The rate in effect for the quarter commencing January 1, 2021 is 1%. The following table lists yields on Government of Canada Treasury bills for the month of October 2020.
