What are faith community reintegration project services
Faith Community Reintegration Project (FCRP) services have been available since 2015. They support successful offender reintegration following their release from our institutions by:
- bridge-building between offenders and their identified religious and spiritual community groups
- liaising with parole, justice organizations and faith communities
- helping offenders connect with family members
- developing faith community capacity to engage with offenders
- offering support and assistance to offenders to become contributing members of society

Directed faith community reintegration project
Directed Faith Community Reintegration Project (D-FCRP) are a specialized extension of FCRP that align with CSC’s public safety mandate by supporting the reintegration of offenders from traditionally underserved faith communities.
Contributing to successful reintegration
FCRP/D-FCRP services strengthen relationships between faith communities and newly released offenders. They:
- provide support to offenders who wish to make or to restore connections to faith groups in the community
- provide a range of services and activities that facilitate an offender’s transition and reintegration back into the community, that supports their reintegration plans
- be a direct resource to mitigate identified risk factors by facilitating offender involvement in diverse, faith-based and pro-social activities that are typically offered by faith communities

How do offenders access faith community reintegration project and directed faith community reintegration project services
Incarcerated offenders can talk to an institutional chaplains, or released offenders can talk to their community parole officer for information on FCRP/D-FCRP services.
