Why was the policy changed?
This policy was modified as a result of the Commissioner’s Directives Standardization Project and to align itself with the structure of the Fire Safety Manual.
What has changed?
Several modifications have been made to this document. These include:
- a new look, resulting in stand-alone English and French versions
- a clearer context for the policy document by including its relation to the Program Alignment Architecture, the Office of Primary Interest as well as information on dates of past reviews and future ones
- the purpose, which replaces the "policy objective", is more practical in nature
- a more concise language and style is used throughout the document
- certain technical items previously located in the policy were deleted in favour of inclusion in the Fire Safety Manual.
How was the policy developed?
Engineering and Maintenance, Technical Services and Facilities, in cooperation with the Strategic Policy Division revised this policy document.
