Why was the policy changed?
The ISD was revised following an Internal Audit of the Fleet Assets, which showed several concerns about fleet maintenance and management.
What has changed?
The document has been fully revised and improved to allow for better understanding of the key subjects.
Accountabilities and responsibilities have been modified.
To support the application of the ISD, tools have been developed to provide the identified personnel with specific directions concerning the various obligations, such as vehicle administration, life cycle/disposal, vehicle categories, the accident reporting process and the parade protocol.
How was it developed?
This policy was developed in conjunction with the Executive Support Services Division, Technical Services and Facilities Branch, in collaboration with the Strategic Policy Division. Held formal consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
Who will be affected by the policy?
All users of motorized equipment and managers responsible for fleet management at every level.
CORCAN managed fleet is excluded from this policy.
