• Commissioner’s Directive (CD) 002 – Designation of Release Sites Other Than Penitentiaries

The CD has been reviewed as part of the Correctional Service of Canada’s review cycle. Other than a minor change to use gender inclusive language, no other changes have been made to the policy.

This policy was reviewed and amended by the Correctional Operations and Programs Sector and the Policy Sector.

Roles and responsibilities are detailed in the policy document.

This policy applies to staff responsible for designating places, other than penitentiaries, from which offenders may be released.
