Biography

Nathalie Nadeau Mijal has an M.A. in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester as well as an M.A. in Comparative Literature from University College London and a B.A. (Hons) double major in English and French from the University of Ottawa. She began working in museums at the National Portrait Gallery in London and went on to intern at Palace Green Library in Durham, both in the UK. Returning to her home city of Ottawa, Nathalie remained involved in the museum and heritage field, working at the Centre d’exposition L’Imagier and the web company Idéeclic, which helped develop virtual exhibitions.

Nathalie led an oral history project in 2018 at the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) and the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN), culminating in the creation of the podcast CCI and CHIN: In Our Words. Now, as Senior Learning and Development Officer, Nathalie aims to provide a variety of unique professional development opportunities to as many heritage workers and volunteers in Canada as possible.
