Canadian Sport Policy

The Canadian Sport Policy is a ten-year guiding policy and vision for sport in Canada. The 2025-2035 Policy was endorsed by Federal, Provincial, and Territorial Ministers responsible for sport, physical activity, and recreation on August 9, 2025.

The purpose of the Policy is to guide and inspire everyone to work together to create sport environments that focus on people, reflect shared values, and enhance the health and culture of Canada and its communities.

The Policy sets the direction for all governments, institutions, and organizations that are committed to working together toward a shared vision for sport in Canada.
