Student testimonials

“Working as a student capital ambassador was an exciting and engaging experience where I had the chance to work with a great team, meet people from all over the world, and share Canada’s rich culture and history. Even though it was outside my field of study, it helped me develop valuable skills for my future while allowing me to learn more about Canada and teach others in a dynamic, welcoming environment.”

Kiro

"I had a really incredible time working as an ambassador this summer. I was fortunate enough to work with a group of truly inspiring, hardworking, smart, and ambitious young people. I had so much fun learning from and talking with all sorts of new people every day and making incredible bonds with my coworkers. The challenges we experienced working outside only helped bring our team closer together and I really enjoyed working outside all summer. I would definitely recommend this job if you have an interest in history, developing your interpersonal skills, and making amazing new friendships!"

Emily

"During my time as a capital ambassador, I had the chance to live an unforgettable experience. Whether it was the countless historical discoveries that allowed me to keep learning throughout the summer, the amazing colleagues and supervisors who never failed to impress me with their intelligence (and their jokes), or the visitors who always managed to touch my heart at the end of each day, it truly was an incredible summer.

All this to say that no matter your field of study or your personality, if you’re a university student, it’s nearly impossible not to benefit from this program—both professionally and socially."

Philippe

"During my time as a capital ambassador, I had unforgettable and unique experiences thanks to this program. It inspired me and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone.

Having worked here for two years, I had the opportunity to serve both as a student and as a student-lead. Those two summers were filled with energy, learning, and opportunities. I not only developed my leadership skills but also built strong bonds with other passionate and dedicated young people.

I leave this job with greater self-confidence, a better understanding of my abilities, a passion for Canadian history, and lifelong friends."
