Amine: My name is Amine, I’m 23 years old, and I’m a law student at the University of Montreal.

[Amine sitting in an interview chair speaking to the side of the camera, followed by scenes of him getting on a bus, walking down the street with his back to the camera then walking down a hall with the camera facing him, back to the interview chair followed by him reading a book, then selecting a book in a library.]

Amine: Social justice and the fight against discrimination are really important to me, which is why I got involved as the president of the Muslim Students' Association at the University of Montreal and as the co-president and co-founder of the Muslim Law Students' Committee at the University of Montreal.

[Amine sitting reading the Quran in a mosque, then in the interview chair, followed by him praying in the mosque.]

Amine: The fight against discrimination and social injustice is something that deeply affects me. Hence why, through my actions, I try to ensure that every person in the community feels included wherever they are, whether at university or in their workplace.

[Collage of pictures of Amine as a child with his parents and other family members, then back to him in the interview chair.

Amine: Growing up, I often saw my parents facing financial hardship and struggles regarding their rights.

[Amine praying in the mosque, followed by him going down a stairwell and then back to the interview chair.]

Amine: As a lawyer, what I want to do is challenge these injustices and encourage the people I support to challenge them as well as give them the necessary tools to do so. I aim to achieve this through my financial independence and by educating them, particularly about their rights.

[Closeups of Amine smiling outside.]
