Expression of Interest: Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Riverport, Liverpool or Brooklyn, Nova Scotia.
The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is requesting expressions of interest from interested parties who can provide seasonal housing accommodations for employees. The accommodations must meet the following minimum requirements and be within a 15 km radius of one of the following communities: Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Riverport, Liverpool or Brooklyn, Nova Scotia.
Leasing requirements:
- Availability from November 15, 2026 to March 31, 2027
- Potential to be multi-year lease
- Residential dwelling including, at minimum, living room, one (1) bathroom with shower, three (3) bedrooms, fully functional kitchen, laundry and storage facilities
- Internet, cable, cellular and telephone services
- Tested and approved potable water. Water must meet the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines - Copy of a current laboratory certificate to be supplied seasonally
- Functioning standard fire alarm detection system as per national building and electrical code
- All exterior doors and windows should be in good repair and equipped with standard locking mechanisms
- Parking for three (3) to four (4) vehicles
- Fully furnished (including all bed linens and towels)
- The lessor must agree to meet all applicable health and safety requirements
- Designated CCG space must be under the sole access of the CCG and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lessor shall provide 24 hour notice to the CCG prior to entering
Information to be provided with response:
- Civic address of proposed location
- Age of dwelling and total floor area, including any storage
- Exterior and interior photos of dwelling, including all rooms and storage
- Type of heating and cooling
- List of furniture, appliances (small and large), and utensils provided
- Type of water supply (municipal water, private well, or other)
Note: This is not a tender process, nor a request for proposal. It is an inquiry into the availability of leasable accommodations within the specified geographic area. The CCG will not necessarily invite offers, or lease space, and may not post any future notices relating to this request. The CCG reserves the right to proceed with an invitation to offer to lease by inviting only parties deemed to most effectively meet specific operational, security and public safety requirements.
