Office of the Auditor General of Canada 2021–22 Departmental Plan

Supplementary information table

Gender-based analysis plus
Institutional GBA+ capacity

The Office of the Auditor General of Canada’s (OAG’s) main impact is through audit work. Many of our direct engagements examine government programs and activities that affect different demographic groups and involve GBA+ considerations. Some of the resulting direct engagement reports directly or indirectly support GBA+ objectives by informing the discussions and analysis of intersecting identity factors conducted by government departments and agencies, parliamentarians, and Canadians.

The OAG’s departmental results framework currently does not include monitoring or reporting on data relating to GBA+ considerations at this time. The framework is currently being revised, and as part of this review, we will determine the extent to which GBA+ considerations should be incorporated into the updated framework and whether data from the OAG`s audit work may support related performance measurement indicators.
