The Auditor General will deliver 3 performance audit reports to the House of Commons

Ottawa, 14 May 2024—On Tuesday, 4 June 2024, the Auditor General of Canada, Karen Hogan, will deliver her performance audit reports to the House of Commons. Tabling in Parliament is expected at approximately 10:00 am eastern timeET. Descriptions of the reports are provided below.

Embargoed reports

If you are a journalist accredited by a recognized media organization and wish to receive an embargoed electronic copy of the report at 8:00 am ET on 4 June 2024, please email infomedia@oag-bvg.gc.ca. Included in this release:

Report 5—Professional Services Contracts. This audit looked at whether professional services contracts were awarded to McKinsey & Company in accordance with applicable policies and whether value for money for those contracts was obtained.

Report 6—Sustainable Development Technology Canada. This audit looked at whether Sustainable Development Technology Canada managed public funds in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contribution agreements and with its legislative mandate. The audit also looked at whether Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s oversight ensured that the administration of public funds was in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contribution agreements and with relevant government policies.

Report 7—Combatting Cybercrime. This audit looked at whether the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Communications Security Establishment Canada, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, and Public Safety Canada had the capacity and capability to effectively enforce laws against cybercrime activities to ensure the safety and security of Canadians.
