Essential qualifications

Education

  • Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination education, training and/or experience.

Experience

  • Experience providing advice and guidance on security-related policies, procedures, standards, or practices.

  • Experience administering personnel security screening processes, including reliability status and/or security clearances.

  • Experience applying one or more security controls under the Government of Canada Policy on Government Security (e.g., personnel security, physical security, information security, security in contracting, security awareness, or security event management).

  • Experience conducting security-related reviews, assessments, inquiries, or investigations and preparing recommendations, reports, or correspondence.

  • Knowledge of security screening requirements, procedures, and best practices.

Operational Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime on occasion, sometimes on short notice.

  • Willingness and ability to respond to security-related incidents outside of normal working hours, as required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
