Master Corporal Justin Smith

Snowbird 7A, Aircraft Structures Technician

Master Corporal (MCpl) Justin Smith was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in the small town of Hazelridge.

As a child, MCpl Smith went to many airshows with his father, which is where his interest in aviation was sparked.

He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aircraft Structures Technician in November 2013. His first posting was to 417 Combat Support Squadron in Cold Lake, Alberta, where he spent nine years working on the CH-146 Griffon in a Search and Rescue role.

MCpl Smith arrived at 431 Air Demonstration Squadron in August 2024 and is excited for his second year on the road with the Snowbirds.
